Description:
1:43 scale Corgi Toys Ford Mustang Mach 1 driven by James Bond (Sean Connery) in the film 'Diamonds Are Forever'. This is the very rare model car produced by Corgi in 1972 to tie-in with the release of the movie. Part of their 'Whizzwheels' range, Model Number 391, this toy was only produced for 12 months. This version of the Mustang has the concave wheels. A version with 8-spoke wheels was also manufactured by Corgi. The car is in very good condition, has just a couple of dinks to the paintwork on the front bumper area and on the left rear wheel arch (see photos) the wheels run perfectly, the doors open and the front seats tilt as when new. The box is also in very good condition, just the smallest of tears on the bottom near the end flap and a small stain on the front left. Has a small price sticker (49) on one end (see photo), the cellophane is intact with no cracks and still attached firmly to the box. Neither the car nor the box have ever been restored, one 'relatively' careful owner since new, stored in a smoke-free environment since 1972. |
