Description:
JAMES
BOND 007
Movie Replica Prop - Ericsson
Mobile Phone from TND
This
is a replica movie prop, from the James Bond 007 film 'Tomorrow
Never Dies' starring Pierce Brosnan.
This
is an Ericsson mobile phone, or cell phone, model JB988.
This is NOT the version used for promotional purposes (the promo
version has four additional buttons around the central remote
control pad). This version is identical to the model
used by Pierce Brosnan in the movie.
In
the film this phone has a number of unusual but very useful
functions, and is one of 'Q' branch's more ingenious gadgets.
It has a fingerprint scanner and a lock pick concealed in the
antenna. Metal electrodes, or spikes, can be shot out of the
base to send a high voltage charge to any unauthorised
user. Flipping open the phone reveals a remote control pad,
buttons and display screen. Together with the LCD video
display screen and touch-sensitive pad, 007 can control his BMW
750iL from the backseat! Very handy!
Please
note, this is a non-working replica prop.
The
buttons do not move, nothing lights up or can be removed from the
phone and the screens are made from plastic film. The phone is
made from plastic/resin and is full size. (5.5" x 2.25"
x 1" approx. - 135mm x 57mm x 24mm)
Except
when viewed up close, this replica looks very realistic, and makes
for a great display that will impress all of your family and
friends.
The
hinge has been broken at some stage and glued back into position,
but it stills works to open and close the phone (see pictures).
